Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I slept with color contacts in my eyes and now I woke and took them out and there is a white cloud blocking my vision.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

A photograph would have been very helpful for making a diagnosis. It is never advisable to sleep with your contacts. Here is the possibility of your situation:Epithelial edema - In this case, remove and stop wearing your contacts for one month. Start Hypersol eye drops (Sodium chloride) four times a day, Vigamox (Moxifloxacin) eye drop four times a day, and Refresh tears (Carboxymethylcellulose) eye drop six to eight times a day. Consult a specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and start taking the medicines with their consent. Corneal infection - If a discharge is also coming, the diagnosis tilts in favor of infection. In that case, along with above add Polymyxin and Chloramphenicol eye ointment at bedtime but since you have not sent a photograph. So, to confirm the diagnosis get a slit lamp examination done. Consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medications with their consent. Kindly visit an ophthalmologist or send a close-up picture without a flash in good lighting.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
