Hello doctor,
I have a girl child, and she is 1 month and 16 days old. She is suffering from a cough and cold. This is to inform you that there is no pediatrician in our city. There is a medical practitioner who prescribed some medicine like Moxikind CV, Bro Zedex syrup, Asthakind syrup, and nasal drops and the illness is not cured. She is also releasing sound from her neck and feeling uneasy because of the problem and crying for the whole night. I am looking for the favorable response to my query from you.

Baby is very small. Medicines may be given. Provide the warm environment and keep the baby warm. Use the vaporizer and give indirect steam. You may keep a pot of roasted ajwain and garlic near the cot of the baby, the smoke or the fumes help in relieving blocked airways. Continue breastfeeding; it provides hydration and antibodies to fight infections. Handwashing is essential to maintain hygiene. Anybody in-house suffering from cold may stay away from a baby. Keep baby head slightly elevated while feeding. If a baby has difficulty in breathing or sucking or has the fever it is better to consult a paediatrician.

We are providing the treatment as per your recommendation, but still, cough is their; which make baby feel uneasy. Please confirm the medicine to remove a cough. Also unable to release motion may affect the release of a cough. Any medicine in the support for the release of motion. One more thing I want to know that which baby oil is best in this situation, whether to go for AD vitamin oil, olive oil or mustard oil? Also for further use which one is best for the better growth of the baby? Request your valuable suggestions in this regards.

You may give the massage with coconut oil, and that is the best. Medicine in babies can be prescribed only after clinical examination. Constipation should not be related to a cough. Ensure enough water and liquids intake. Give mashed papaya. Cycling movements of limbs will help in relieving constipation.
