Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I need to get supervised on COVID-19. I have a positive result and I am taking Fabiflu, Atoz tablet, and Dolo. I am having a fever and cough. Is this the right medicine?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Kindly share the complete details of your reports and the treatments prescribed. Fabiflu (Favipiravir) should be taken in appropriate doses along with other important medicines. I hope that you have been prescribed and not self-medicating. Kindly share the details to help you further. You need to do blood tests such as complete blood picture, ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), platelet count, CRP (C-reactive protein), LDH (lactic acid dehydrogenase), serum ferritin, IL-1 (interleukin 1), IL-6 (interleukin 6), liver function tests such as ALT (alanine transaminase), AST (aspartate transaminase), bilirubin, renal function tests such as serum creatinine, e-GFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate), serum electrolytes, BUN (blood urea nitrogen), and uric acid, X-ray chest, ECG (electrocardiogram), and pulse oximeter to measure oxygen saturation.

Please mention whether you got the positive result using rapid antigen tests or RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) based antigen-specific detection in a nasal or nasopharyngeal swab. Please share the results. Fabiflu or Favivir (Favipiravir 200) should be taken for 14 days. COVID testing using antigen detection or RT-PCR with viral load has to be repeated on day 10, day 15, and day 28. Dolo-650 (Paracetamol) is meant to alleviate fever and it should not be taken more than four times a day. A to Z is not enough. You need to replace it with Zinconia, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and multivitamins.

Please mention whether you have a history of any other diseases and any treatments taken for high blood pressure, diabetes, or any other illness of the liver, kidney, and heart. I am giving a modified treatment plan for you before knowing the complete treatment history. You can take a tablet of Limcee (Vitamin C 500 mg) one tablet twice daily after taking food for 15 days, a tablet Zinconia (Zinc acetate) 50 mg one tablet thrice daily after taking food for 15 days, a tablet of Beplex forte (multivitamins) one tablet twice daily before taking food for 15 days. You can take tablet Uprise D3 (Vitamin D3) 60,000 IU one capsule a week for six weeks.

You can take a capsule of Econorm (Saccharomyces boulardii) 250 mg one capsule twice daily after taking lunch and dinner for seven days. You can take a tablet of Ivermectol (Ivermectin) 12 mg one tablet once daily after taking lunch for three days, capsule Doxy 1 LDR (Doxycycline 100 mg with Lactobacillus) one capsule twice daily for five days. You can take one capsule of Cintodac (Pantoprazole 40 mg with Cinitapride 3 mg) one capsule once daily in the morning on an empty stomach for 15 days.

You can take a tablet of Dolo 650 mg one tablet once in six hours after taking food for five days. You can take the tablet Fabiflu or Favivir (Favipiravir 200 mg). Take 3600 mg on the first day followed by 1600 mg from the second day to fourteen days. These medicines should be taken after getting a prescription from the doctor. Revert soon with full investigation reports and treatment reports immediately.
