How to refix a fallen tooth cap at home?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Can you please help me fix the toothcap at home? I have a small kid, so I am not able to go to the hospital that too in this pandemic situation. I do not want to take risks. Please tell me a fixer name to fix the cap.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I am here to answer your queries.
The fixer we use to fix a cap is not available commercially. Placing the dental crown or cap in the correct way is also a challenge. If not fixed properly, it might get dislodged accidentally and can be swallowed. So, kindly avoid any such complications for now. Kindly keep the cap safely and eat without the cap. It would be a much safer option for now in this COVID-19 pandemic situation.
Avoid hard foods, sticky or sweet foods. Brush twice gently. Use Betadine (Povidone-iodine) mouthwash, and gargle using lukewarm water twice or thrice a day. Visit your local dentist when it is safe outside and get the crown fixed.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
