Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I had 10 crowns placed on my front teeth a week ago. I wake up in the middle of the night with all of my teeth throbbing. It is extremely painful and I have no idea what is going on. I have no sensitivity to cold or hot, but just throbbing in my teeth.
Please advise.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
I think the pain must be because of the load on the teeth that are being used as abutments. Because you have a gross occlusal correction, and the night clenching (bruxism) may also be the cause of pain. It looks like you do have apical periodontitis because of much stress on abutment teeth.
You need to take antibiotics and analgesics for immediate relief and for correction of the cause. You may need a night guard, and also get a dental checkup done as soon as possible.
I hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any questions further.
Thank you.
