Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I got my 7 upper teeth capped since gap was there. After capping, mouth is in trouble. Restlessness is there, gums stretch. Can I go for single capping as I had earlier on my teeth?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query. I am very sorry for your inconvenience. Two things are possible. There might be a highpoint in the bridge that creating a restlessness or pain upon biting or the dentist should have-not seen the X-ray first, might need a root canal of other teeth before preparing the bridge. So if you have any X-ray kindly upload it to me. I will help you to manage the situation.

If highpoints is present, simple grinding the part by your dentist will solve all the issue. But if the teeth were already exposed further shaving them for the crown initiated sensitivity and causing the issue, if that is the case - Root Canal Treatment has to be done over the bridge, to ease your discomfort.

You cannot go for a single crown as it will not be supported from any tooth, always needs minimum of two teeth (one front and one behind) extra to correct the gap for a single missing tooth.(Front and behind teeth act as pillar upon which the middle artificial tooth suspends).

For now to ease you discomforts - Betadine mouthwash, gargle in lukewarm water 2-3 times a day. Tablet Zerodol SP SOS (Aceclofenac + Paracetamol + Serratiopeptidase). Kindly upload an image of the bridge and X-ray if present. I will be waiting. Start the medication.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
