Hi doctor,
I am experiencing a persistent urge to urinate, accompanied by a peculiar discomfort. The sensation of needing to urinate is constant, and it is disrupting my sleep as I frequently rush to the bathroom. Please, I need help and advice.

If your symptoms have been present for only 3 to 5 days. It is possible that you have simple cystitis, which may resolve with the following medication:
1. Take a tablet of Nitrofurantoin (100 milligrams) at bedtime for five days.
2. Take a tablet of Tamsulosin (0.2 milligrams) at bedtime for five days.
3. Syrup Potassium Citrate: Take two teaspoons with half a glass of water twice daily for three days.
