Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I generally have a very regular and consistent period cycle. But for the last two months, I took one plan B pill each month. I got my period on time for those two months however for the next month my period has been delayed by nine days. I have had no intercourse or pills this time. What is causing this delay?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As you were not sexually active last month there is no chance of getting pregnant at all. A delay in the menstrual cycle may be due to some hormone disturbance due to stress and plan B pills. Wait for a few days for periods or take a tablet of Primolut N (Norethisterone) one tablet twice a day for five days. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take medications with their consent. Periods will occur within a few days of stopping Primolut N.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
