Hello doctor,
I and my newly married wife had an episode of unprotected event (there was no intercourse or ejaculation). She has not got her period yet. What could be the reason?

Thank you for your query.
After all, there is no chance of pregnancy here. The episode was 8 weeks back and there were two cycles following that. If at all she was pregnant either it was evident in the scan and there will be no cycle after that. There is a delay in initiating the present cycle, I can see. This delay could be due to the stress itself and do not rush to the doctor if she had a one or two-cycle delay over a period of one year. This is considered normal.

Hello doctor,
Can those cycles be confused with any implantation bleeding or other bleeding? Also, can a sac be visible at 8-week abdominal USG? Endo 5 mm is a no for pregnancy, right?

Implantation bleeding is not a common phenomenon. It occurs at the time of the next menstrual cycle like spotting of a few drops. Moreover, at 8 weeks a sac can be visualized by transabdominal USG (ultrasonography) which showed a 5 mm and no sac.
