Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am 30 years old. I am facing delayed menstruation cycles. It has been 15 years. At the beginning I consulted gynecologists. They did ultrasound and there was no cyst. Doctors said it was because of hormones. They prescribed Progesterone tablets for 5 days. My periods are not regular. It varies from 30-45 days. Sometimes 55 days. In last 15 years, around 4-5 times, it occurs after 60 days. This time it skipped two cycles. Sometimes I feel pain in legs or back, vaginal secretion without any odor. It has been 20 days or so that my face is full of pimples (even my face is not oily). There is no extra hair growth on my face. I am sexually inactive.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
The irregular bleeding is also associated with acne and hair growth. There are symptoms of hyperandrogenism. Have you got a hormonal examination done?
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor,
I do not have extra hair growth. I have not performed any hormonal test.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
If the ultrasound has excluded an anatomic cause for a irregular menses, the cause are the hormonal disturbance, which leads to anovulatory cycle. For that, you can perform a hormonal analysis.
I will prescribe: FSH, LH, testosterone, estrogen ,TSH, Prolactin, Progesterone (at 21st day of your cycle). You can also take an Estro-progestative pill, for 3 - 6 months, they help for irregular bleeding even for pimples too.
I hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards.
