Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 35-year-old female. I have a decayed tooth on the upper right side of my mouth. What are the best practices for preventing tooth decay, such as appropriate brushing and flossing techniques, and how often should I visit the dentist for check-ups and cleanings? How do diet and nutrition influence tooth decay, and are there specific foods or beverages that I should limit or avoid to protect my teeth? Can you explain the benefits of fluoride treatments and dental sealants in preventing tooth decay, and when might these treatments be recommended? What are the treatment options available for managing tooth decay, including fillings, crowns, and other restorative procedures? What factors determine which treatment is most suitable? Kindly let me know the answers to these questions.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

We are elated to have you on board at icliniq.

Please be aware of the following:

  1. Brushing is a good method of maintaining good plaque control. The modified bass technique is the best technique for brushing.
  2. In addition, using floss, preferably an unwaxed one, is a good method of effective plaque control in type 1 embrasures.
  3. Regarding restorations for tooth decay or crown placement, it is decided based on the involvement.
  4. Good plaque control and regular rinsing between meals are the best techniques to prevent caries.
  5. However, cost varies according to treatment and clinical facilities.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.
