Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

A dentist placed a small object in my tooth under the filling. It was a tiny square. He said it was similar to bamboo. It feels like heavy metal poisoning. He also claimed all my teeth had cavities after another dentist had just evaluated me. I also developed an infection around the sinus area. So my question is, do dentists use this wooden material? What is in my tooth?

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query, and you are suspicious of treatment done by a doctor. Certain materials can be used before filling, like:

1) Pins to support the restoration or filling.

2) Acrylic.

Please send me the radiograph to address your concern properly.

Thank you.
