Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have decayed painful lower back teeth. A part of my lower jaw is swollen and painful. What should I do? I am scared to visit the dentist.
Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com
I read your query and understand your concern.
From your history, it seems your tooth is infected, and the swelling is because of the infection, probably because of the abscess. For the time being, to get rid of the swelling, you need to start with some warm saline rinses at least five to six times a day for a week. Apart from this, avoid applying anything hot from the outside, and do not cover your face as it will lead to more swelling.
After this, you should visit your nearest dentist for a complete checkup.
Thank you.
