Can low confidence, poor focus, and guilt lead to depression?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Do I have bipolar disorder or any other psychiatric illness? My symptoms include feeling fearful, sometimes experiencing body tremors, persistent sexual arousal, excessive sexual obsession related to lost love, difficulty in communication at times, confusion, a lack of confidence, self-guilt, inability to focus on studying, breathing problems, and negative thoughts. These symptoms all occur simultaneously. Could you please describe this condition?

Thank you.

Welcome to icliniq.com.

While more details regarding your symptoms are necessary, I do not believe these align with the typical symptoms of bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder typically involves manic episodes with or without depressive episodes, and symptoms tend to occur in distinct episodes, with relatively symptom-free inter-episode periods. Your symptoms, such as body tremors, fear, repetitive sexual arousal, obsession related to lost love, guilt, difficulty in communication, and low confidence, could be indicative of depression and should be thoroughly evaluated. Depressive disorders can manifest in individuals with symptoms like low confidence, poor focus, and guilt.

I hope your queries are resolved and any further queries are welcome. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
