Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am mentally unstable and depressed. I need to focus on my career, but with no self-confidence, I cannot do so. Everything seems so negative around me. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

First, I would tell you to stay calm and not panic. You will improve and get out of this phase of life. It is only a transient phase.

Is it your first time experiencing these symptoms, and how long has it been like this? Are you taking any medications for it?

With the little history you have mentioned here, you seem to have a mild depressive episode. It would be best if you went for CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) sessions along with a small dosage of antidepressants. CBT sessions will help you a lot. Since you are only 18, I would like to tell you that psychotherapy would be the best solution for you.

I hope I have answered your query. Please write more about your illness, when it started, and whether you have any related stressors, like an upcoming exam or any change in your usual lifestyle.

Hope this helps.

Thanks and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
