Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am very depressed and frustrated. I am under constant stress. I want peace. What to do?

Please help me.

Answered by Dr. Aditya Gupta

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

I suggest you screen yourself for clinical depression. Do a self-rating test of depression. If it is indicative of moderate to severe depression, I suggest you consult a psychiatrist in person for detailed evaluation and treatment. Besides, certain things that can help are:

1. Meditation daily for at least half an hour in the morning helps you relax and focus.

2. Share your feelings with family or close friends as sharing helps a lot.

3. Follow a flexible routine and exercise regularly and take a balanced diet rich in antioxidants and omega fatty acids. Aerobic exercises for at least half an hour thrice a week have been found to be especially helpful.

4. Give at least one hour daily for your hobbies.

Remember every problem has a solution and you just need to try solving it and help is just a step away.

Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks and regards.
