Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My mood changes very quickly sometimes when somebody says something no matter what I feel sad and angry. People see me as a monster without feelings because I cannot make myself respond to what they are saying. I have to check, say and do stuff several times because if I do not do them something bad may happen. My brain never stops working and thinking and I can fall asleep easily. I feel guilty all the time about things that happened years ago. I do not know what to do and if that is normal what I just explained. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. These symptoms should be evaluated properly by a psychiatrist. Unwanted mental thoughts that are purposeless could be due to severe anxiety or obsessions. You have mentioned that you have to do or check stuff again and again and this might result in distress. Most likely it is depression and OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) and should be evaluated. This could lead to rapid mood swings and might lead to problems in functioning. So please talk to a psychiatrist for evaluation and treatment of the symptoms.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
