Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 22-year-old male. I had protected sex two years ago, and I am having a skin rash called dermatographia, which is growing. I got that weeks after my exposure. Then six months later, I had joint pain, and I took an HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) test which was negative. Nine months after my exposure, I tested again with a rapid test, which was negative. Ten months after the exposure, I tested again with the same rapid test, which was negative. I started having night sweats, then tested again after 15 months, and it was negative. After two years, I still have the rash and sometimes pain in the finger and dry eyes. Around seven months ago, I had bells palsy, and now I have a salty taste in my mouth.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You had tested a lot of times for HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), and all tests were negative. Joint pain may be due to other causes, such as raised uric acid and HSV (herpes simplex virus) infection. Consult an orthopedician and dermatologist. Till then, take a tablet of Ultracet (Tramadol Hydrochloride and Acetaminophen) for joint pain if required. For skin rash locally, apply Lactocalalmine and Betnovate (Betamethasone Valerate) after cleaning the part in a 3:1 ratio. Consult your specialist doctor, talk with them, and take medications with their consent.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
