Patient's Query

Hello doctor.

Amiloride was prescribed for my lithium-induced nephrogenic diabetes insipidus. It significantly lowered my water use. But there is still some extra. Amiloride is not accessible in the country I live on its own. Can you recommend another potassium-sparing diuretic to replace it?

Please help

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Spironolactone is the name of a potassium sparing diuretic.Tablet Aldactone 25 or 50 mg is the brand name for it. Please consult with your doctor before taking on my suggestions.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
