Hello doctor,
I am suffering from attention deficit and disturbed memory problems. It affects the speed of my work. Presently I am taking tablet Fenofibrate 145 mg once daily and tablet Avital once daily for high triglycerides and disturbed lipids. Kindly suggest a treatment for my above problems.

So, please elaborate on your symptoms and answer a few questions for how long have you been suffering from these problems? Do you have other depressive symptoms like low mood, loss of interest, weakness, feeling of hopelessness, helplessness, guilt, suicide ideation, disturbed sleep or appetite? I having this problem of moodiness and wandering mind since I was a child. I am not able to perform my job properly. I complete all my work in the last minute. Before twenty years, I had depressive symptoms like low mood, loss of interest, weakness, guilt, and disturbed sleep for three months and had taken medication for the same. After joining for a job and after I got busy with office work, the symptoms vanished. Now my problem is to increase the focus and speed of work. Please suggest a treatment for me.

You are probably having dysthymia (chronic mood disorder which decreases concentration and causes forgetfulness and slowing of work). You also have a past history of depression. Prescribing you very low dose antidepressant will hike you according to the response. Take tablet Nexito (Escitalopram) 10 mg in the morning, it will start showing an effect after 7 days.
