Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I want to discuss the ECG report of my father. He has shortness of breath and has difficulty swallowing food. His CT scan and Endoscopy were done today, but we are still waiting for his reports. Could you please help us to understand his ECG report? Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) is normal, but the diagnosis depends upon symptoms, signs, and other known diseases. An electrocardiogram is always interpreted in the context of clinical history. Does your father have any known cardiac issues? Is he diabetic, hypertensive, or a smoker? Why is his weight so low?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your response. He is a smoker. For the last few days, he has had difficulty swallowing food. His endoscopy and abdomen CT scan are also done, and we are waiting for a result.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The electrocardiogram is normal. There is no evidence of previous heart attack, heart chambers enlargement, conduction problem, or rhythm problem. I meant to ask whether he has any previous known cardiac issues such as valve issues, any symptoms of palpitations, chest pain, shortness of breath, or syncope.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
