Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am six weeks pregnant, this will be my second baby, my first delivery was normal. Last week I had some pain in my lower abdomen. I also had slight bleeding and brown discharge as well. I also visited the doctor. She did an ultrasound and some blood test. The ultrasound report says that uterus is seen gravid with a single viable fetus with regular cardiac pulsations. CRL is 0.3 inch corresponding to six days. EDD according to fetal measures is six days. Average cervical canal length and internal OS caliber at the time of examination. I have read certain articles about ectopic pregnancy. I am scared if my symptoms are leading to this problem. Can you please help?

Answered by Dr. Richa Agarwal

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. As your ultrasound scan report is normal and showing intrauterine healthy and viable pregnancy, you should not worry about ectopic pregnancy. Sometimes during pregnancy, mild bleeding and spotting can occur. Take proper rest and Progesterone support after consulting with your treating doctor.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
