Thank you doctor,

I am really worried something is wrong. I have not seen my glottis before, and it looks white. Why?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You cannot see your glottis, but you can see only the epiglottis, which is a structure above the glottis or voice box. The epiglottis is a cartilaginous structure covered by mucosa, and it is white. The mucosa of mouth which appears red due to underlying vessels. Cartilages are avascular, and your epiglottis is not inflamed. If inflamed it will be red.
