Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have high blood pressure, and I have been prescribed with a medication I often forget to take. I have never had a problem with erections. The other night I had a good one when cuddling with my girlfriend, but it went away when things started to get sexual. We both tried to get it back up, but it did not, and I currently still have a bit of a problem, and I have decreased sensitivity.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thanks for consulting.
Erectile dysfunction has many causes like psychological which happen suddenly and usually in the short term, like few days. With this type, there will be good sexual desire and morning erections. Organic is caused by low testosterone level with this type there will be reduced libido and less morning erections. Secondary to drugs like antihypertensive, calcium channel blockers, beta-blockers, and antidepressants. In your case, if it happened on one occasion, then it is likely due to stress, and it is psychogenic, which does not require any treatment. If you mention the name of the antihypertensive medication you are taking, we would advise you to change it if required.
If you have any more queries, please do not hesitate to ask.
Kind regards.
