Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 31-year-old, and I have been trying to have sex with my girlfriend on different occasions, but I always go soft anytime I want to penetrate. This is my first time. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern about your symptoms.

According to your complaints, you may be suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED). The reasons for erectile dysfunction are as follows:

  • Stress due to work, family-related issues, or night duties. Plan for regular exercise and yoga.
  • Depression.
  • Varicocele. An ultrasound of the scrotum can help diagnose.
  • Fear of failure. Having one episode of ED once may make you feel you will end up with ED.
  • Low self-esteem due to chronic masturbation.
  • Homosexuality, not attracted to same-sex.
  • Religious constraints.
  • Smoking and alcohol.
  • Long-term illnesses like cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or any other disease with long-term medication.
  • Simple vitamin deficiency. You can use tablets Zincovit (multivitamin) and Shelcal (calcium and vitamin D3).
  • Negative attitude towards your partner.
  • Hormonal issues like thyroid issues, low testosterone, and increased prolactin.
  • Long-term drug usage.
  • Diabetes and hypertension.
  • I suggest you undergo a Doppler penis, USG (ultrasonography) pelvis, and scrotum. You also check your blood pressure, RBS (random blood sugar), free T3, T4, testosterone, and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone). Share more details regarding the above reasons. We can work on diagnosis and treatment. You need to plan for regular exercise and a proper diet. I suggest you follow the list of exercises:

    1. Basic exercises like Kegels, squats, yoga, running, or brisk walking for five minutes.
    2. For the missionary sex position: Planks, push-ups, mountain climbers, glute, and bridges.
    3. For the standing sex Position: Bicep curls, pull-ups, and jump squats.
    4. For the doggy style position: Jump squats and walking lunges.
    5. For the cowgirl or the girl on top position: Glute bridges and leg raises.
    6. I suggest you take foods like strawberries, apples, avocados, sweet potatoes, sesame seeds, almonds, garlic, and a little chocolate. For a temporary solution, you can take the tablet Mildfil (Tadalafil) 5 mg twice a day.

I hope this has helped you.

Revert in case of further queries.

      Thank you.
