Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 23-year-old man who has never been able to achieve a complete erection, and it is harming my personal life. The erection turns hard and then disappears in an instant, and this has been happening for a long time.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

According to your concerns, you may be suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED). Erectile dysfunction (ED) can be caused by a variety of factors and they are:

• Stress due to work or family-related, night duties – plan for regular exercise and yoga.

• Depression.

• Varicocele – ultrasound scrotum can help diagnose it.

• Fear of failure - having one episode of ED once may make you feel you will end up with ED.

• Low self-esteem (chronic masturbation).

• Homosexuality – not attracted to the same sex.

• Religious constraints.

• Smoking and alcohol.

• Long-term illness – Cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or any other disease with long-term medication.

• Simple vitamin deficiency – you can use tablet Zincovit (multivitamins) and Shelcal (Vitamin D).

• Negative attitude towards your partner.

• Hormonal issues – thyroid issue, low testosterone, and increased prolactin.

• Long-term drug usage.

• Diabetes and hypertension.

I suggest you should take the following examinations done, your Doppler penis, USG (ultrasonography) pelvis and scrotum, blood pressure, RBS (random blood sugar), free T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (tetraiodothyronine), testosterone, and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone). Also please provide additional information about the factors mentioned above so that we can work on diagnosis and medical treatment. I also suggest you need to plan for regular exercise and a nutritious meal plan. The exercises include the following: basic workouts such as kegels, squats, yoga, running, or five-minute rapid walking. Also include foods such as strawberries, apples, avocados, sweet potatoes, sesame seeds, almonds, garlic, and a little chocolate. Medications can be used as a temporary remedy. I suggest that you take the tablet. Mildfil 5 mg (Tadalafil), twice daily.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
