Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

For the past week, I am experiencing difficulty in having an erection. But, strangely I have strong erections in the morning but once I get up from bed it becomes soft. Even, when I read pornography, it gets hard but dissipates soon. Because of this, I am unable to have proper sex with my partner. After great effort, I am able to masturbate, but it happens without any orgasmic feeling. I also need to mention that, this problem has arisen after having lower back pain, for the past month. There was one more incidence of ED, six months ago. Then I had viral fever and back pain, then I had complete ED. After a month or so ED disappeared. Now it is appearing again.

Kindly help.

Hello,

I read your query and understand your concerns.

I think the current difference (NPT) is on the positive side and it is possible that with the disappearance of back pain, you will get back your natural erections. It is not surprising that when you have physical illness your sexual life gets a hit and I think the same is applicable for you. You need to do the following to stop worrying about ED. It is not organic ED. Get treated for lower back aches. Stop evaluating your sexual performance.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
