Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 55 years old, weigh 253 lbs, and height 175 cm. I developed erection dysfunction accompanied by a weak erection when I was 45. I am the father of two children. It is not possible for me to sustain an erection. I consulted a urologist in the past but it did not help me. I am tired of pills and looking for other treatments. Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern. According to your complaints, you may be suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED). The reason for erectile dysfunction (ED) can be:

• Stress due to work or family-related, night duties – plan for regular exercise and yoga.

• Depression.

• Varicocele – ultrasound scrotum can help diagnose.

• Fear of failure - having one episode of ED once may make you feel you will end up with ED.

• Low self-esteem (chronic masturbation).

• Homosexuality – not attracted to the same sex.

• Religious constraints.

• Smoking and alcohol.

• Long-term illness – Cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or any other disease with long-term medication.

• Simple vitamin deficiency – you can use tablets of Zincovit (Multivitamins and Multiminerals) and Shelcal (Calcium and Vitamin D3).

• Negative attitude towards your partner.

• Hormonal issue – thyroid issue, low testosterone, increased prolactin.

• Long-term drug usage.

• Diabetes and hypertension.

You need to check the Doppler penis, USG (ultrasonography) pelvis, scrotum, blood pressure, RBS (random blood sugar), free T3 and T4, testosterone, and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone). Share more details regarding the above reasons and we can work on diagnosis and treatment. You need to plan for regular exercise and a proper diet as suggested in the following-

  1. Basic exercises like Kegels, squats, yoga, running, or fast walking for five minutes.

  2. Missionary sex positions like planks, push-ups, mountain climbers, and glute bridges.

  3. Standing sex position exercises like bicep curls, pull-ups, and jump squats.

  4. Doggy-style exercises like jump squats, and walking lunges.

  5. Cowgirl or the girl on the top move- glute bridges, leg raises.

  6. Foods include strawberries, apples, avocados, sweet potatoes, sesame seeds, almonds, garlic, and a little chocolate.

  7. For a temporary solution, – you can use the tablet Mildfil (Tadalafil) 5 mg twice daily.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
