Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been fighting off what I initially thought was a bad cold. But after a week and some high fevers and bad congestion, I think it may have been more severe sinusitis or something similar. My actual question for the last three or four days, my face has been permanently flushed and feels warm (sometimes hot) to the touch. I have never had this happen before, and I am unsure if it is something to be concerned about or would be normal for what I have been sick with.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Symptoms and their duration may vary with the infective organism. You have not mentioned the type of treatment you have taken. In any case, try steam inhalation and warm saline gargles four times a day. Drink plenty of fluids orally. I suggest the tablet Paracetamol 500 mg for fever. If this does not help, consult an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) specialist for the prescription of antibiotics. Meanwhile, it is best to take the CBC test (complete blood test) and X-ray PNS (paranasal sinus radiography) and inform the reports to us.

I hope you find it helpful.

Thanks and regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
