Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 16-year-old female, who started having periods when I was 10. This year though, I had an early, irregular period two months ago. After the regular one ended I had another one which lasted for two days, ended, then started again, for two other days. I consulted a physician who diagnosed me with severe Vitamin D deficiency, hypothyroidism, and a high FSH to LH ratio (2.9). He gave me a vitamin D capsule of 200,000 IU to eat once per week for six weeks (I have already completed the doses), and Myo-Inositol plus Quatrefolic sachets. However, it has been 15 days since I have been taking those sachets and I have noticed thicker, more facial hair growth all over my body. It is not like in males, but I am concerned. What could be the reason? Please suggest.

Thank you.

Hi

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your blood test reports (attachment removed to protect patient identity). You seem to be having some hormonal imbalance. And in young girls it is common. So if you have completed the course of Vitamin D stop it and stop other medicines too. I would like to see your ultrasound report and thyroid test reports. So upload it here. Please get serum testosterone done. Also after seeing your ultrasound I would like to start medicine for you for two months to make your periods regular and try to correct your hormonal imbalance. So if you have not had your normal periods this month do write here.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
