Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I always fear about my loved one death. I can not concentrate on my studies. Negative feelings are attacking me. When I am studying or writing something, my mind thinks that some danger has happened. So, I needed to cut that word and write in a mood that nothing would happen. I tried to stop that by myself, but my mind always said to cut it and write again. I love to study the most. But in this case, I do not like to learn. But I am looking. That issue only occurs some of the time, like once for one hour, 30 minutes like that. When I am doing calculations or something seriously, I do not remember. After some negative feelings come back, my exams are near, but I cannot concentrate. I feel like wanna stop all my studies and be free. But I cannot do that. My homies never let me skip the shy. Then my studies can be crashed. I am feeling very depressed. There is no more time to move with this negativity. I just want to focus on my studies. Please help me.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

It sounds like you are dealing with significant anxiety and fear related to the well-being of your loved ones, and it is affecting your ability to concentrate on your studies. It is important to remember that you are not alone, and there are steps you can take to help manage these feelings and improve your focus. Here are a few suggestions that may be helpful:

1. Seek support: Consider contacting a trusted friend, family member, or counselor who can provide emotional support and help you work through your fears. Sometimes, talking about your anxieties can provide relief and help you gain perspective.

2. Practice relaxation techniques: Engaging in relaxation exercises, such as deep breathing, meditation, or progressive muscle relaxation, can help alleviate anxiety symptoms. These techniques can also improve your ability to concentrate and focus.

3. Establish a study routine: Create a structured schedule with regular breaks and dedicated study sessions. Breaking your study time into manageable chunks can make concentrating and maintaining focus easier. Ensure you include time for activities you enjoy to help balance your routine.

4. Challenge negative thoughts: Negative thoughts can fuel anxiety and make it harder to focus on your studies. Whenever you notice negative thoughts or worries creeping in, try to challenge them by asking yourself if they are based on evidence or if there's an alternative, more positive perspective. Reframing your thoughts can help reduce anxiety.

5. Practice self-care: Take care of your physical and mental well-being by getting enough sleep, eating nutritious meals, and exercising regularly. Taking care of yourself can improve your overall mood and help you manage anxiety.

First, try out the above-mentioned techniques. If you do not see any improvement, then taking the help of anxiolytic medicine can be helpful.

Thank you.
