Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a 7-year-old son. Last night, he had a fever and chills, and about this afternoon, he complained about dizziness and experienced vomiting almost five times. After having a high fever, he suddenly talks about untrue scenarios. Please help.

Thanks

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

As per the limited information provided, the child may feel dizziness, may vomit, and at the time of high fever, may talk irrelevantly and may have delusions. But before we say so, we need to rule out some other conditions, like any infection of the brain, which require immediate attention. After giving Paracetamol and when the fever subsided, did he behave normally? Is he accepting feeds well? Is he passing urine well? Did he complain of a headache? Is he active when the fever subsides after Paracetamol? I suggest you give a proper dose of Paracetamol. Consult your specialist doctor, take to them, and take medications with their consent.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
