Flucloxacillin

Flucloxacillin is a narrow-spectrum antibiotic with a specific effect against gram-positive microbes. It belongs to the penicillin drug group and effectively treats streptococcal and staphylococcal skin conditions like impetigo, carbuncle, erysipelas, folliculitis, cellulitis, and necrotizing fasciitis. It is also used to treat acne, scabies, ulcers, eczema, external ear infection, diabetic foot, bone infections, etc. However, they are not effective against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
