Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am currently taking 20 milligrams of Fluoxetine daily. I am on holiday overseas for four nights and forgot my tablets. Is there anything I can do, or will this cause me difficulties?

Hi,

Glad to hear from you.

I am here to answer all your questions.

Fluoxetine is one of the longest-acting SSRIs. Ideally, you should take the tablet as instructed by your treating doctor, but there would not be any problem in the present scenario where you forgot to bring the tablet. You must be taking it for depression, I guess. I do not think you need to take any other medication.

Just take care of yourself.

Please follow up if you have any further related queries about it.

Take care.

I am thankful that you have confidence in me to help you.

Please stay safe and healthy. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
