Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have lots of freckles on my face. A skin expert advised me to use a day cream from a reputed brand. But my skin becomes very oily after using it. Please advise me a suitable cream.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to Icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. According to your description, it seems to be freckles or ephelides, which are common in individuals who get sunburned easily and do not tan. On the other hand, it is uncommon among people who have dark skin. You can use 30 percent trichloroacetic acid cautery (TCA) or topical treatment with Depiwhite cream (Aqua, Vitis vinifera seed oil, Glycerin, Glyceryl stearate, Butylene glycol, PEG-100 stearate, Cetearyl alcohol, Coco-glucoside, Petrolatum, Hydroquinone, Kojic acid, Cyclomethicone, Stearyl Alcohol, Hydroxyethyl acrylate, Squalane and Polysorbate-60, dimethicone, Aluminium silicate, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium cetyl phosphate, Ascorbyl methyl silanol pectinate, Lactic acid, Disodium EDTA, Sodium sulfate, Sodium metabisulfite). Apply it during the night daily for 16 weeks (suitable for oily skin). Consult your doctor and take the medication accordingly. Follow precautions like

1. Avoid mid-day sun.

2. Seek shade whenever possible.

3. Wear broad-brimmed hats.

4. Apply a good sunscreen with SPF 50 + daily in the morning all over the face. It can be repeated after four hours.

I hope this information will help you. Please revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.
