Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My mother, who is 61 years old, had a swollen abdomen. When we admitted her to the hospital, doctors said fluid had built up in the stomach. Her skin turned yellow, and she complained of pain in the abdomen. The doctor stated that she has gallbladder cancer and it is in stage 4.
She was healthy, and she never had any issues before. Just 10 days before, the abdominal swelling had started. She had her uterus removed six years ago. She can still walk, talk, and recognize everyone. I am attaching the CT scan films. If required, I will give more details.
Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through all the reports of your mother (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Unfortunately, she has a very advanced cancer which has spread to the liver and bones. It is causing obstruction in the flow of bile, which has caused jaundice.
There is no cure for her condition. She needs supportive care. Please do not give her any chemotherapy if someone suggests it. Give her the best supportive care. I am sorry for this information.
I hope this information helps you.
Feel free to reach out in case of further queries.
Thank you.
