Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been suffering from excessive gas, bloating, and gut pain for the last four months. Symptoms decrease significantly between 11 PM and 6 AM. Which tests should I do? Ketorolac really helps but I was told to use it only when needed. Why does Ketorolac help? Should I take probiotics, antispasmodics, or antibiotics? Kindly suggest.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Well given your weight it is common to have gas and bloating. Since obesity slows the stomach and large intestine, which would cause a slow digestion process and the production of excessive gases. Ketorolac is a painkiller, it can help with the pain of any origin. but this is not the solution. Since it tends to cause gut ulcers and kidney damage if used for a prolonged period of time. I suggest you take a three-week antibiotic course plus some antispasmodics. Take a tablet of Rifaximin 200 mg thrice daily for 21 days and a tablet of Anafortan plus (Phloroglucinol) which is anti-spasmodic 80 mg thrice daily half an hour before meals. If you have excessive burps and feel uncomfortable after taking meals take a tablet of Levosulpiride 50 mg thrice daily, half an hour before meals. Take all the tablets for three weeks, the latter can be used for a prolonged period of time, whenever necessary. I hope your gas bloating symptoms would reduce significantly.
Thank you.
