Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a boy and I feel like my physical development has stalled since I was 12 or 13. My body, voice, and reproductive parts have not really changed since then, except for my height. I cannot gain weight or muscle mass either. I suspect I might have low testosterone or other hormonal issues that have prevented me from fully developing. What is your opinion?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understood your concern. Based on the information you provided, I understand that you are concerned about your physical development and hormone levels. Physical development and hormone levels are complex matters that can vary greatly from person to person. It is important to remember that everyone develops at their own pace and in their own unique way. If you have concerns about your physical development or hormone levels, I would encourage you to consult with a endocrinologist professional. They can assess your individual situation, take into account your medical history, and conduct any necessary tests to provide a proper evaluation. They will be able to offer guidance and discuss any potential treatments or interventions that may be appropriate for your specific circumstances. Low testosterone levels can have various effects on the body and overall well-being. It can potentially lead to symptoms such as decreased energy, reduced muscle mass, increased body fat, decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, mood changes, and decreased bone density. If you suspect that you may have low testosterone levels, I suggest you consult a specialist and talk with them regarding your problem. There are several treatment options available for low testosterone levels, such as testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or lifestyle modifications. However, it is important to remember that the best course of action will depend on your individual circumstances, and it is always best to consult with a healthcare professional who can provide tailored advice based on your specific situation. I hope this has helped you. Kindly follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
