Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am female, and my age is 24 years. One year ago, I came to a different country and started facing hair fall. My hair fall is increasing daily, and I do not know how to prevent hair fall. It would be beneficial if you could suggest any medicine, oil, shampoo, or other remedies to me. Please help.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

First, I need to know if there is any history of chronic medical illness as it increases hair fall.

1. History of pregnancies.

2. Get your CBC (complete blood count) done.

3. Any thyroid disorders. Get T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine), and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) done.

4. Any mental stress.

5. Poor diet.

6. Any history of dieting.

Treatment includes:

  1. Take a good diet like milk, eggs, and proteins.
  2. Avoid stress.
  3. Avoid sulfate in hair color and shampoo.
  4. Mix one tablespoon of olive oil on the scalp overnight and wash in the morning. Remember all the above treatments for at least three months. Hair recovery is a slow process and may take up to six months.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

I do not have any history of pregnancy or thyroid. But I am a student and researching, so I have mental stress and no proper diet chart.

Thanks.
