Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I had been following the hair treatment prescribed by my doctor for about one and a half months. However, I stopped the medication after completing the prescription.
Since discontinuing the treatment, I have been experiencing severe hair loss, which has drastically increased over the past few months. I have noticed that a significant amount of hair falls out when I comb my hair. For your reference, I have attached my previous prescription.
I would appreciate your guidance on the following:
Should I restart the previous medication or begin a new treatment?
Could this hair loss be a result of suddenly stopping the treatment?
How many times should I wash my hair per week?
Which type of shampoo should I use (medicated, mild, or anti-hair fall)?
Is oiling recommended, and if so, how often should I do it?
Are there any lifestyle or dietary changes I should consider to help control hair loss?
Do I need to have any blood tests done, such as for vitamin or iron levels?
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concerns.
Your condition is known as androgenetic alopecia. It is recommended to undergo treatment for a few months until complete recovery, which usually takes about four to six months.
You can begin using Minoxidil serum and biotin supplements. Hair should be washed twice a week, and a shampoo should be incorporated into your routine.
In terms of diet, you have to focus on incorporating green vegetables and fruits while avoiding fast food.
For treatment purposes, you can follow this regimen:
Take one Follihair (Biotin and Amino acids) tablet daily.
Apply Hair 4 U Pro (Minoxidil and Finasteride) serum locally on the scalp twice a day, using 1 ml each time.
Use Mildy AHF (Trichogen Veg and Green Tea Liquid Extract) shampoo twice a week for three months.
After three months, we will review the progress.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. I would be happy to guide you. Please keep your valuable feedback for better patient care.
Thank you so much.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have already been using some medicine; still, some more is left. Can I continue it until it is finished? Also, I have dandruff. Is there any possibility of hair regrowth?
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
First finish this, then start a new prescription. For dandruff, use Keraglo AD (Ketoconazole) shampoo twice per week.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
