Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 38-year-old married woman with two children delivered via C-sections. Recently, I have been experiencing significant hair loss, which began four months ago, and has been progressively worsening. Alongside this issue, I was diagnosed with high cholesterol three months ago, with a level of 224, which I have managed to reduce to below 200 through dietary changes and exercise. My current diet includes fruits, fresh juice, boiled fish and chicken, brown rice, bread, and nuts, resulting in a weight reduction from 138.891 pounds to 121.254 pounds. Despite feeling more active since adopting these lifestyle changes, I am perplexed by the continued hair loss. It started before implementing the diet and exercise regimen and persists to date.

Could you please advise me on how to control and potentially regrow my hair? Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hi

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Your current issue revolves around postpartum telogen effluvium, which has been exacerbated by sudden weight loss, inducing a form of stress on your hair, now categorized as chronic telogen effluvium.

To address this, consider incorporating Folihair's new hair supplements into your daily routine, preferably after breakfast. Consistency is key, so continue this regimen until you observe a reduction in hair fall.

Additionally, integrate Quilib women's spray (Minoxidil) into your regimen, applying it twice daily onto the scalp for three months. This combined approach is aimed at effectively managing hair loss.

Lastly, it is advisable to monitor your serum ferritin levels to ensure optimal hair health.

I hope this information will help.

Thank you.
