What could cause hair loss, dysentery and loss of appetite?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been recently suffering from hair loss, loss of appetite, and two to three times motion (soft kind of motion) in a day. I have added my blood test report for reference. Please suggest some remedy.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You seem to have a liver problem that is causing these gastroenterology issues. You may also have a deficiency of specific vitamins and zinc, which is due to malabsorption in your gut and makes hair fall worse. These could be due to the high bilirubin in your liver profile and may cause you to get worse if not treated. However, these blood tests are not sufficient for making the diagnosis of the exact liver issue and require an ultrasound screen of the abdomen to look for the cause. Please consult a gastroenterologist with the reports of the ultrasound exam and follow-up. Take care and get well soon.
