Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am losing over 120 hairs a day while combing. This has been happening for the last three to four months. I am currently on Zinc supplements, Vitamin E, and C supplements.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Increase protein intake in your diet like nuts, milk, almonds, pulses, lentils, eggs, and dates. Tablet H.Vit forte once in a day for 30 days. Avoid stress. Eat healthy and nutritious food. Stay hydrated. Sleep well. Exercise regularly. Is there diffuse hair loss? Hair thinning? Receding hairline? Bald patch and spot? Itching? Scaly, flaky scalp? Yellowish greasy crust? Dandruff?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I do have dandruff. No visible bald spot. The density of my hair has decreased consistently over the last few years. I also have a flaky scalp. Hairline has lightly receded. I am not sure about diffuse hair loss.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Use Salicia KT shampoo alternate day for 20 days. Minoxidil 5 percent lotion 1 ml at night for 30 days (on hair loss, or hair receding area). Increase protein intake in your diet. Take tablet H.Vit forte once in a day for 30 days. Avoid hair stylings procedures, coloring, and hair dryer.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Is 5% safe to use for women as on internet research, I find that women are usually prescribed 2%. Will the shampoo cause more hair loss? What should I expect for the next couple of weeks?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Use 2 percent (twice daily). No, it will not cause hair loss. The process of hair growth is slow but effective.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I will follow the instructions. Also, I wanted to know whether this is a bald spot?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is tractional baldness. Divide your hairstyle not from the center but from one side, so that it will not increase. It is due to excess traction during combing of hair. During combing do not excessively pull the hairs. Gently comb your hair.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
