The first line of treatment for alopecia areata is an intralesional injection of steroids, in which the drug is injected into the area on the skin involved. However, it may not be possible for you. Instead, I suggest you use topical cream Temovate (Clobetasol propionate) 0.05 % that is to be applied on the affected patch and also one centimeter beyond the margins for six weeks.
