Hi doctor,

I have been trying to treat my hair loss for a few years now. I have gone through a few products, but I am doing more damage than good. Currently, I am using Actiiv shampoo and conditioner, topical Spectral DNC-N, and oral Finasteride. However, I have noticed increased areas of thinning lately. Any advice?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Kindly answer the following questions for details:

  • Is there any history of Minoxidil use?
  • Is there any hormonal imbalance or fluctuations?
  • Is there any insufficient protein intake?
  • Have you got your hair colored?
  • Is there any history regarding the use of a hair dryer?
  • Are you suffering from nutritional deficiencies such as vitamin D or B12?

Regards.

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

I had tried Minoxidil before switching to Spectral.DNC-N (Nanoxidil). It was said to be a newer and better product, but I would like to know if the switch has prevented my progress. I Am not aware of any hormonal imbalance. Stress is a part of my day-to-day routine. I keep regular protein intake and supplement with ARMRA Colostrum. Other than the topical Spectral DNC-N, I do not use many hair products. Moreover, I do not regularly use a hair dryer. I recently got a blood panel that showed higher MCV and MCH.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

It is a male pattern of hair loss. Causes are hormonal imbalance, aging, insufficient protein intake, hair procedures such as coloring, rough handling, and autoimmune disorders.

I would suggest you use the following:

  • Minoxidil 2.5 percent solution 1 ml in morning and evening for three months and use Anaboom shampoo twice weekly (while on Minoxidil).
  • Stop Finasteride.
  • Low-level laser therapy, hair transplantation, or PRP (platelet rich plasma) are other treatment options available.
  • Eat oranges, avocados, carrots, yogurt, sweet potatoes, salmon, spinach, green veggies, eggs, chicken, onion, nuts, and fortified cereals.
  • Drink lots of water.
  • Drink green tea.
  • Do not take caffeine, tea, or soda.
  • Eliminate stress and do scalp massage with onion juice extract or aloe vera gel can be a home remedy.
  • Stop smoking.
  • Take capsule Perfectil plus twice daily after food for 30 days.
  • Avoid combing wet hair.

Regards.
