Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am having pressure, pain, and tightness in the right side of my head and forehead. And I have numbness in my right leg (lower leg). I am having this kind of right side headache and pressure with dizziness some time. I do not have any double vision or vomiting. No fever and not any other symptoms. Mainly the pain is around my right eye, my ear numbness, and top of my ear pressure.

My right side leg gets numbed most of the time. No difficulty with balancing, walking, and vision. Scaring thing is this is happening for me for almost a month. Right now, I am on migraine medicine. But I am scared that I might have a brain tumor or a stroke. Do you think any of those apply to me? I am very stressed and scared now. My head pressure and right side leg numbness are not getting cured. I work overnight, and because of this stress, I even cannot sleep.

Can headache or pressure go this long? Please explain to me in detail about the treatment plan. What are the primary symptoms of a brain tumor that a person experiences? And what is a stroke?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Right-sided headache or any unilateral headache moderate to severe accompanied with or without photophobia, eye-watering, nausea, etc. are typical of migraine. Numbness of the affected side may be due to migraine, or it could be a neurological problem. What concerns me is the leg numbness as well. Do you feel like your right or left leg feels weak? And the numbness, is it very obvious like you cannot feel your finger on the leg?

Also, do you have other symptoms like dizziness or fainting spells? Have you ever had high blood pressure, or does anyone among your parents have high blood pressure? If yes to any of the above questions, I would suggest you get a CT scan of the head done as soon as possible to rule out anything serious like stroke or transient ischaemic attacks. Also please get an ECG done. It is essential to diagnose the condition before moving on to treatment. Please let me know so I can help you further. I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
