Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been suffering from headaches for the last four to five months. The pain in my head is episodic and even radiates to my ears. I consulted a doctor who suggested the pain was due to bad posture. I fear having a brain tumor.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query and understood your concern. However, I have a few questions,
1. Do you wear specs or contact lenses?
2. How much water do you consume in 24 hours?
3. Do you sleep well?
4. Do you spend a lot of time on screen?
5. Do you have constipation?
6. Do you drink alcohol?
7. Are you a chronic smoker?
8. Do you take any medicines for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid, and cholesterol?
9. Do you have any tingling or numbness in the limbs?
I suggest you follow the instructions mentioned below,
1. Check your vitals. Get your eyesight tested. Get an X-ray of the spine because bad posture can also be a reason. It is important to rule out cervical spondylitis.
2. Use a cotton pillow.
3.Always lay down straight.
4. Do not place your arm under the head.
5. Avoid slouching your back.
6. Sit up straight wherever possible.
7. Get your ear checked for blocked ears or excess ear wax.
8. Limit your screen time.
9. Drink at least three to four liters of water a day.
10. Eat a well-balanced home-cooked diet.
11. Avoid lifting heavy weights.
Kindly consult a specialist and talk with them for further management.
I hope this has helped you.
Thanks and regards.
