Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 20 years old. I have done something that I regret. I injected into my knee joint a product supposed to make me grow taller with BMPs. I regret having done this, and I was desperate of growing taller at the time I have done this, the injections I have done to myself was really painful. I was very unconscious of the risks of cancer, inflammation, and all this, can you please tell me what I should do? I am really afraid of health issues regarding this.
Hello doctor,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
These products are of no use and cause a little or a few inch increase and height at risk of side effects. Do not worry three injections are most likely not going to cause you any ill effects. You make sure you do not repeat any of them. I hope it helps you. If you have any further query, please ask me.
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor,
Do you know anyone who has used them? Or do you have any studies or clinical trial where BMP 7 and BMP 2 have been injected in the knee joint? I have done five injections. Five days in a row, did you see the ingredients and their quantities? What kind of side effects are you talking about? And what type of exam should I do to make sure those products have not induced the growth of any tumors? I am anxious, and I regret this much.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
There are no authentic clinical trials that can give you strong evidence related to this. However, in general, any drug has a tumor causing effect in the long term and repeated use. Based on this knowledge, I am saying that it is very unlikely that you would develop any tumor following these five injections.
The side effects that you may experience include pain, swelling, infection at the injection site. I suppose you should meet an orthopedic surgeon and get a general examination of your knee joint for the check-up of well being of the joint. I hope it helps you. If you have any further query, please ask me.
