Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I used to get mouth ulcers and throat infections frequently for one and half month, then my chest, back, and palm started itching. After which, I started getting blood in urine, and burning sensation during urination. My urine color changed to yellow, and it started to smell a lot. I have done all the sexually transmitted disease (STD) test except human papilloma virus (HPV) and gonorrhea, and all were negative, even urine routine and culture were normal. So, I started taking antibiotics for urinary tract infection (UTI), as prescribed by my doctor. Three months back I started having severe itching and rashes in my thigh. I am using B Bact and Candid B for the rashes, but it is not getting cured completely and is also spreading. It gets cured at one place with the ointment and comes in some nearby place again. I stopped the antibiotics from past 2.5 months and then found white discharge from the penis, from past three weeks. Even after urinating, I have the urge to urinate again. Sometimes, my left knee pains as if it has dislocated. I am not able to walk for few minutes, but the pain goes after few stretching and rest. I also get right lower abdominal pain abdomen at night. It has been one and a half years since this started. I am unable to find a proper diagnosis or cure it. My urine color is constantly yellow from the past year. The yellowness goes with drinking lots of water. But every morning the urine color is yellow, no matter how much water I had the previous night.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com. Your history and complaints are suggestive of UTI (urinary tract infection), either resolved or partially treated. The color of urine is not a factor in deciding the status of the infection. Most people have an inherent tendency for yellow colored urine, which has nothing to do with the amount of water intake. Also, you seem to have generalized myalgia, and your pains could be related to your lifestyle. With regards to the white discharge, kindly mention if you are sexually active and if so,is there a history of change of partners? I suggest you get the following tests done. 1. Complete blood picture to look for anemia. 2. Complete urine examination. 3. Serum TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone). 4. HIV (Human Immunovirus). 5. HBsAg (Hepatitis B surface antigen). 6. Anti-HCV (Hepatitis C virus). 7. VDRL (venereal disease research laboratory).

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
