Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Yesterday, I had sex with a sex worker, and I used condoms. Then, she removed the condom and masturbated me with the hands that she had used many times to penetrate her vagina. Is HIV transmission possible this way?
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
If she inserted her finger in her vagina and then she used that hand for masturbation, then there is some risk, but that is very minimal. The HIV virus dies on coming in contact with air. So there is almost nil risk of transmission by this sexual activity.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thanks for your reply. Please explain it to me in detail. I am too scared and worried because she was masturbating me, and then my semen came out. But before that, she penetrated her finger into her vagina. Am I protected or not? Is it possible for HIV to be transmitted this way? Is it possible for transmission of HIV from the vagina to the penis through the hand or finger? Please help.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
Theoretically, it is possible, but the chances are rarest of rare. So remain relaxed. Just do not think much about this. You are safe. If you are in doubt, then go for the HIV antigen-antibody duo test at four weeks of exposure. The HIV virus gets inactivated when it comes in contact with air, so the risk is almost nil. Please follow safe sex practices.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
